I had a great experience at Locsurious – I got medium twist on my natural hair- The stylist was thorough with prepping of the hair by washing conditioning and steaming. She was very gentle with my hair and easy to talk to. Apart from that the style lasted in a good condition for much longer than anticipated.

The experience at Locsurious was exceptional. I have been on my natural hair journey for five years now and is very particular with the hairstylist I allow to manipulate my hair. At Locsurious I found that I was very comfortable and relaxed. There was no need for anxiety with regards to the harsh manipulation of my hair. She was very gentle and the end result was AMAZING . I wore my two strand twist do for an entire month.

She is very patient, kind and accommodating. Gentle with your hair/head to the point where you almost feel nothing. I got microlocs and my hair looks beautiful, the parts are crispy like bacon. I’m only on day 3 of my journey and I’m enjoying it already!

The experience at Locsurious was great. The place was clean and peaceful. No unnecessary chatter or noise. One of my favorite movies was playing so in between sleeping on myself😁 I enjoyed snippets of the movie. Faith was very gentle, I did not flinch once and that’s the truth. Normally when I braid my hair I dread the constant pulling and digging into my scalp. I did not experience any of that. She was available to start at the scheduled time and her estimated completion time was on point. I had a personal request which she was able to incorporate into her delivery and I appreciated that. Overall….great service.

Growing up, I’ve always been surrounded by the idea and culture of relaxed hair – it was something “grown” girls and women with natural hair would graduate to when they’re mature enough. I never really liked that idea of relaxed hair growing up, but I knew that as I was getting older, I would have to make a decision on what I was going to do with my hair (because I can’t have my mom combing it in cornrows my entire life).
When I started university, I explored artificial hair, which somewhat alleviated my natural hair maintenance issue, however, I was never 100% pleased with how my hair looked at any point of time.
At the beginning of 2021, I was introduced to Microlocs and I almost instantly fell in love with the idea of them. To me, they were the ultimate solution to my problem. I was sold with the images I saw of people in their 1-2 year loc journeys and wanted to start mine immediately.

TLDR; Being introduced to microlocs literally allowed me to discover hair freedom. I am now able to freely grow my natural hair healthily and I’m no longer afraid to get my hair wet! I’m truly loving the growth process and I can’t wait to see my growth within the next year.
(I wish I started Microlocs earlier!)
